Prancingpixel is me, Sherry London. Some of you might know me from my Photoshop and Illustrator books and courses and from the Quick Tips and product reviews that I wrote for Photoshop User magazine for many years. Others of you might know me for my spinning and hand carded fibers on my Etsy shop or on Ravelry.
So who is Sherry London a.k.a. prancingpixel? Good question. I am certainly eclectic. I photoshop… Here is a peek at some of the review images I created for Photoshop User magazine)
I bead, I spin, and I knit.
Here are some of my fiber designs that were offered for sale on etsy shop at http://prancingpixel.etsy.com. The shop will be re-opening in the near future featuring exciting new products. Stay tuned for that!
And I also design repeat patterns and graphics for sale or license.
Way back in the dark ages, when I entered college, I had to take an aptitude test. The recommendations were that I would do well as an artist, an author, and a teacher. It also recommended that I stay away from housekeeping! (Frankly, I’m not sure why that was even on the test, but it was certainly accurate, as my husband discovered the first–and last– time I tried to iron his shirts!)
The test was surprisingly correct and I’ve spent my life as an artist, an author, and a teacher. I am so excited to be starting this new pathway as a textile designer in addtion to the fiber art I’ve done all my life.
Life is a journey–an exploration. I hope you’ll join me on mine! It will be an exciting ride!
